The Rum or Wine Rally Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd June 2024
Hamble Valley and Fareham 41 Club in association with Alpha Knights 41 Club, Burgess Hill 41 Club, Harpenden 41 Club, Kingston Ex-Tabler’s Club, Troon 41 Club, Berkhamsted 41 Club and Shanklin 41 Club cordially invite you to the National Classic Car Rally in Fareham, Hampshire and surrounding countryside.
The Rally will be based at the Holiday Inn Fareham. The Hotel is situated just yards off Junction 9 of the M27. We will have our own exclusive private area of car park.
The Programme
Friday 21st June
The Rally reception opens in the hotel from midday and lunch will be available for those that wish to purchase, or you could take a bus into town and lunch at your leisure. The Welcome Party will be in the ballroom where horror stories of the journey can be exchanged, and tales of last year’s Rally told whilst enjoying a superb three course meal.
Saturday 22nd June
After breakfast join your rally colleagues in the hotel car park to admire each other’s cars and prepare for the day’s run into the countryside. It will be a leisurely drive enjoying the scenery and stopping at some interesting places for a stroll round, morning tea and coffee, Lunch and Afternoon tea. After Afternoon Tea there will be a scenic run back to the hotel with an optional tea stop en route.
The Rally Dinner will be in the Ballroom; A three-course meal during which the awards will be presented, and details of next year’s Rally announced.
Sunday 23rd June
After breakfast we will assemble in the Hotel Car Park for another pleasant drive through the countryside culminating with an optional farewell lunch stop after which you are free to leave for home or return to the Hotel where an additional nights’ accommodation is available for those wanting to stay on. There are some great local attractions (please see below*) or you could just cruise the glorious countryside.

Should any rally driver or couple wish to arrive before the Friday or stay on after the Sunday we (the Hamble Valley and Fareham 41 Club Members) are happy to host up to four couples so they can continue their vacation or sightseeing tours.

The Rally will be based at the Holiday Inn Fareham
The Holiday Inn Fareham is ideally located just off J9 of the M27. Sat in between Southampton and Portsmouth, you will be spoilt for choice on where to go, and what to do.
Holiday Inn Fareham hotel offers a 20 meter swimming pool, together with a Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Perfect after a day in meetings or if you just want to unwind.
The restaurant is open from 0630 till 2100 during the week, and 0700 till 2100 weekends, serving your breakfast, lunch and dinner, should you wish. Remember that kids under the age of 12 eat and stay for free. Why not grab a Starbucks to take away with you too?
They can host a meeting or event for guests up to 140 in one of our four meeting rooms. Our events team would be able to assist you with all your needs.
Holiday Inn Fareham is around 20 minutes from Southampton airport, and around 10 minutes from Fareham train station.
Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park is around 30 minutes away, as is the New Forest, where you will find the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu. Also, around that area is Bucklers Hard Master Builders, where the ships were made for Nelson's fleet. Gunwharf Quays and West Quays are equally around 20 minutes away too, if you fancy a little retail therapy.
